A wind measurement tower is an emerging type of tower used for data collection of wind resources. The wind measurement tower is installed in the target wind farm to analyze the actual situation of wind energy resources in the wind farm.
Anemometers, wind indicators, temperature and pressure monitoring devices are installed at different heights on the tower. The wind conditions at the site can be observed 24/7 without interruption, and the measurement data is recorded and stored in the data recorder installed on the tower. It is necessary to carry out 3-5 years of wind energy resource observation work to meet the evaluation requirements for wind energy conditions in the wind farm. The crosswind tower is located within the wind farm site, mostly in the form of a folded frame structure or a cylindrical structure, reinforced with steel strands and inclined tension, with a height generally ranging from 10 to 150 meters. According to current national regulations, the height of crosswind towers is generally 100M.
